SCIAC Softball Weekly Release No. 4

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Softball Athletes of the Week in the fourth week of voting and University of Redlands first-year pitcher Katlyn Gandara (Whittier, CA) was selected as the SCIAC Pitcher of the Week for the first time in her career.

Gandara earned a pair of wins this past week in dominant performances in the circle as she struck out 10 against just one walk without surrendering a single earned run across 15.1 innings pitched. She also made nine assists in the field and recorded an RBI in the first game of a doubleheader sweep against Baldwin Wallace University. 

Redlands hits the road for the TIG Sports Tucson Invitational this weekend, March 11-12 in Tucson, AZ where they will take on Wisc.-La Crosse (March 11), Concordia Wisconsin (March 11), Central (March 12) and Webster (March 12).
