SCIAC Softball Weekly Release No. 4

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Softball Athletes of the Week in the fourth week of voting and University of Redlands senior first baseman Tyesen Gordon (Lathrop, CA) was named the SCIAC Hitter of the Week.

Tyesen helped lift the University of Redlands to a 3-2 weekend that featured a three-game SCIAC sweep of Pomona-Pitzer (8-3, 7-4, and 10-1), and a pair of losses to Whitworth (4-1, and 3-0). Gordon hit .500 for the week (7-for-14), scored four runs, added a pair of doubles, a triple, a home run, and four RBI's. She had three hits in the 10-1 win over the Sagehens. 

Redlands returns to the diamond this weekend with a pair of non-conference doubleheaders against Brandeis (Saturday, February 26) and Bridgewater (VA) (Sunday, February 27).
