Senior Shandell Curtis Reels in Bulldog Softball's Second-Consecutive SCIAC Athlete of the Week Award

Shandell Curtis was named the SCIAC Softball Athlete of the Week.

For the second week in a row, a student-athlete from the University of Redlands earned the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Softball Athlete of the Week, with this week's honor going to senior outfielder Shandell Curtis (Upland, CA).

Curtis made the most of her opportunities at the plate in the Bulldogs' split against Pomona-Pitzer Colleges on Friday, March 2.  She went 3-for-6 (.500) with a double while supplying four of the team's eight RBI in the doubleheader.  She also finished with three putouts on three total chances in the outfield.

Last week, junior catcher Nova Siegel (Fairfield, CA) reeled in the softball honor for the Bulldogs.

Curtis, Siegel, and the Bulldog softball team head to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges on Saturday, March 10, for a conference doubleheader at 12 noon.
