REDLANDS, Calif. – The Associated Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Association announced their postseason awards for Division III this week highlighted by University of Redlands Head Men's Water Polo Coach Ryan Hall being voted the ACWPC Division III Coach of the Year.

Hall led the Bulldogs to one of the best single season finishes in program history as the Maroon and Grey went 17-15, 5-6 SCIAC along with a runners-up finish at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament, a USA Water Polo Division III Collegiate National Championship, which is a first in program history and a final ranking in the CWPA Division III National Polls at No. 1.  The 17 wins was a 12-win improvement from 2021 to 2022, the largest win increase from one season to another in program history.  Redlands also won 17 games, the most since 2016 when they went 18-15 under former Head Coach Tom Whittemore.

Hall becomes the second Bulldog Head Coach to be named the ACWPC Division III Coach of the Year, joining Tom Whittemore who won the award twice back in 2001 and 2009.

This season Hall had two players named All-SCIAC (Ron Gvishi, Alec Abrahamian) and another four players selected as SCIAC Athletes of the Week (Ron Gvishi, Andrew Higginson- 2x, Alec Abrahamian, Liam Murphy – 2x).

The voting process for the awards is based on nominations and voting by the varsity head coaches in Division III and are calculated and disseminated by The ACWPC.
