SCIAC Men's Water Polo Weekly Release No. 10

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Men's Water Polo Athletes of the Week in the tenth week of voting and University of Redlands junior attacker Andrew Higginson (San Diego, CA) was selected as a SCIAC Athlete of the Week for the second time this year, but this time as the Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Higginson was a critical piece of the University of Redlands Men's Water Polo defensive unit in a comeback 10-9 win against Chapman University Saturday night.  The Bulldogs also battled Cal Lutheran earlier in the week but fell by two. The junior totaled six steals and a drawn exclusion to go with six goals and three assists on the offensive end.  Five of the six goals came against the Panthers and each contest collected three steals.    

Redlands returns to the pool this Wednesday, November 9 for a non-conference match-up against Biola University inside the Thompson Aquatic Center beginning at 4:00pm.
