It was recently announced by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) that the University of Redlands men's water polo team and 10 individuals qualified for All-Academic honors for 2020-21.

Despite the modified athletic experience in the spring, the Bulldogs' 18 members combined for a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to earn the scholarly nod from the ACWPC.  With a combined mark of 3.34, Redlands ranked 17th among the 34 teams that received the honor.

In addition, 10 Redlands student-athletes gained recognition for individual GPAs that landed among the categories of "Outstanding" (3.71 and 4.00), "Superior" (3.41-3.70), and "Excellent" (3.20-3.40).

Leading the Maroon and Gray, first-year attacker Daniel Bajda (Lombard, IL) and sophomore attacker Michael Maher (Fremont, CA) landed among the "Outstanding" recipients.  Maher gains his second such honor from the ACWPC.

Sophomore goalkeeper Liam Murphy (Placentia, CA) climbed into the "Superior" category in his second year for back-to-back honors, while sophomore attacker Michael Driscoll (Escondido, CA) repeats among this "Superior" crew.  First-year attackers Emerson Kropp (Denver, CO) and Curren McCarthy (San Clemente, CA) emerged among the elite academic list, while sophomore goalkeeper Brandon Khalil (Bakersfield, CA) gains a "Superior" accolade following last year's "Outstanding" award.

Finally, sophomore attackers Ethan Beaty (Denver, CO) and Nathaniel Rucker-Jensen (Agoura, CA) each reel in "Excellent" status for the first time.  Junior goalkeeper Jason Gates (San Jose, CA) impresses with his second such award in his third season.
