Redlands Men's Water Polo Hauls in Two ACWPC All-America Nods

Two competitors from the University of Redlands men's water polo team landed on the 2019 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Division III All-America Teams, as recently announced by the organization. Senior attacker Spencer Allen (Long Beach, CA) represent the Bulldogs on the First Team, while senior center Cooper Krause (Denver, CO) earns an Honorable Mention. This is Allen's second time on the ACWPC All-America team after last year's Honorable Mention nod and Krause's inaugural appearance.

Allen has been a threat on offense all season but really turned it on in the second half, scoring three or more goals in four important Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) games. He leads the team with 63 goals and 46 steals. His speed off the line led him to win the majority of his sprints. The final game of the season proved to be Allen's best game, where he scored five goals, including the game-winner that ultimately sent the Bulldogs to the SCIAC Postseason Tournament.

Krause lands his inaugural All-America award with this year's Honorable Mention. Krause ranks second on the team with 48 goals scored against tough competition. His solid play on both ends of the pool led him to rank first on the team with 51 drawn exclusions. He also was an offensive spark late in the season with a pair of goals in both of the 10-9 wins over La Verne and Chapman. His solid contributions on offense led him to be named SCIAC Athlete of the Week twice this year.

Earlier this year, Allen and Krause gained a spot on the All-Conference Team.
