The University of Redlands men's tennis team took on Haverford College (PA) in Tuesday's non-conference match on Verdieck Courts. After sweeping the doubles, the Bulldogs cruised to victory in five of the six singles matches to secure the 8-1 win.
The No. 1 doubles duo of sophomore Brysl Libao (Redlands, CA) and junior Brad Cummins (Rancho Mirage, CA) set the tone with an impressive 8-0 showing. Senior Chase Lipscomb (Irvine, CA) and junior Andrew Leahy (Claremont, CA) kept things rolling at No. 3 with their 8-2 win. First-years Thomas Reznik (Belmont, CA) and Andrew Yip (Honolulu, HI) completed the sweep by defeating their No. 2 counterparts by a score of 8-5.
In singles, Yip impressed at No. 6 with his 6-1, 6-1 win before Reznik officially sealed the deal with his 6-1, 6-2 effort at the No. 4 spot.
Libao, Lipscomb, and Cummins each won their respective singles matches as well.
Redlands (3-2) squares off against non-conference opponent, Swarthmore College (PA), on Wednesday, March 13, at 3 p.m. on Verdieck Courts.
