Joey Dulle and Jake Ly Advance to Doubles Final of Ojai Valley Tournament

Members of the No. 11 University of Redlands men's tennis team competed in the second day of the 117th Ojai Valley Tennis Tournament on Saturday. 

Senior Jake Ly (Torrance, CA) and junior Joey Dulle (St. Louis, MO) highlight the results as the duo moves on to the finals of the main doubles draw.  They opened the day's action by defeating Ryan Dugan and Chad Stone of UC Santa Crus in an 8-6 decision.  They went on to oust Zachary Hewlin and Petar Jivkov of Whitman College (WA) with an 8-5 win.  The duo looks forward to facing Daniel Morkovine and Nikolai Parodi of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges in Sunday's championship match.

Ly also had a productive day in the consolation singles bracket with his trip to the final.  He knocked out Chapman University's Matthew Mead in the quarterfinals by scores of 6-2, 6-3, before prevailing over Ruthwick Pathireddy of Caltech in the semifinal match, 6-2, 7-5.  Ly takes on Dara Kashani of Cal Lutheran University in tomorrow's match.

In addition, senior Parker Wilson (Carlsbad, CA) notched a quarterfinal win over Joshua Gearou of Pomona-Pitzer Colleges by scores of 6-3, 6-2, before falling to Parodi in the semifinals, 6-2, 6-1.
