Senior Tennis Standout Parker Wilson Reels in Second SCIAC Athlete of the Week Honor for Season

It was announced earlier today that senior Parker Wilson (Carlsbad, CA) of the University of Redlands collected his second Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week honor of the 2017 season.  After receiving the award on March 6, he repeats the accolade for his 5-1 week that helped the eighth-ranked Bulldogs collect wins over No. 23 Sewanee: University of the South (TN) and the College of Wooster (OH).

In three contests, Wilson went undefeated in singles matches and captured two doubles victories with senior Tom Suchodolski (Amherst, MA).  In singles, he topped all three opponents at the No. 2 slot in straight sets, as highlighted by prevailing over his counterpart from No. 10 Wesleyan University (CT).  He also recorded 6-0 sets in each outing against Sewanee and Wooster.

Along with a 10-1 singles record this season, Wilson currently owns a five-match win streak.

After Wilson and Suchodolski dropped an 8-5 loss to start the week, the No. 3 duo rolled through the remainder of the matches by scores of 8-5 and 8-0 to cap off the solid effort.
