Redlands Men's Tennis Climbs to No. 14 in ITA Division III National Rankings

It was announced yesterday that the University of Redlands men's tennis team climbed one spot in the NCAA Division III Intercollegiate Tennis Association's national rankings to No. 14 in the country.

So far this season, Redlands has put together a 5-0 record that includes a win over a ranked NCAA Division II school in Point Loma Nazarene University.  In addition, the Bulldogs have eked out a pair of 5-4 wins in comeback fashion to remain perfect on the season.

Redlands began the spring season with a 9-0 victory over Linfield College (OR) during in-region competition.

The Bulldogs have a bottleneck of contenders throughout the line-up, with sophomore Joey Dulle (St. Louis, MO) holding down the No. 1 slot in singles, and freshmen Chase Lipscomb (Irvine, CA) and Bryant Johnson (Fair Oaks, CA) pushing him from the next two spots.

Juniors Parker Wilson (Carlsbad, CA) and Jake Ly (Torrance, CA) have combined for a 10-0 record in singles, competing primarily at the Nos. 4 and 6 positions, respectively.

The Bulldogs (5-0) host No. 32 Christopher Newport University (VA) today at 1 p.m. on Verdieck Courts.
