Seth Lawrence named SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week

SCIAC Men's Soccer Weekly Release No. 9

REDLANDS, Calif. - The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Men's Soccer Athletes of the Week in the ninth week of voting and University of Redlands junior goalkeeper Seth Lawrence (Redlands, CA) was selected as the SCIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week for the second time in his career.

Seth becomes the fourth Bulldog this season to earn SCIAC Athlete of the Week recognition joining Skylar Darwen (Los Angeles, CA), Peyton Menti (Seattle, WA), and Quinn Richards (San Clemente, CA).      

Lawrence made four saves in a shutout victory against conference regular season champion Chapman University. The junior ended the regular season with one solo and three partial shutouts, having recorded the fourth-lowest goals-against average in the conference as Redlands won five of its final six games. 

Redlands enters the SCIAC Tournament tonight, Tuesday, November 1 for the Quarterfinals.  The Bulldogs will travel to take on the Kingsmen of Cal Lutheran University beginning at 7:00pm.
