REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands Men's Soccer team ended their regular season Saturday night dominating Chapman University 3-0 on Senior Night.

Prior to the game Head Coach Ralph Perez recognized his ten graduates leaving the program, which included Joseph Parra (West Covina, CA), Ethan Kovach (Las Vegas, NV), Nico Mancilla (Pasadena, CA), Teddy Rubenstein (Waikoloa Village, HI), Jamie Dulle (Clayton, MO), David Johnson (Monrovia, CA), Ryan Hulbert (Dixon, CA), Peyton Menti (Seattle, WA), Quinn Richards (San Clemente, CA) and Andrew Torres (Oceanside, CA).

With the win the Bulldogs improve to 7-5-3, 6-4 SCIAC and get revenge from their road loss to the Panthers, which came on a PK back on October 12.  Redlands now enters the SCIAC Tournament as the No. 5 seed and will travel to take on Cal Lutheran University in the Quarterfinals on Tuesday, November 1 beginning at 7:00pm.  The Bulldogs and Kingsmen faced each other once on the season back on September 24 where UR fell 1-0.

The Maroon and Grey used a brace from Dulle as two of the three goals and two of the four assists on the evening came from seniors.

Following a 16-minute delay to the start of the game, neither team looked sharp early as the energy levels were low after the extended wait. The first shot of the contest came from Chapman in the ninth minute, which forced a save from UR keeper Seth Lawrence (Redlands, CA).

After more lulls in the action, the Bulldogs finally broke through in the 14th minute with Dulle registering his third goal of the season. Jarette Alexis Barajas (San Jose, CA) dribbled to the endline and sent a ball back into the middle of the 18-yard box where Johnson was positioned.  Johnson then turned and passed it off to Dulle for the finish.

For the next few minutes there were four shots taken, three of which came from the Bulldogs. The one Panther shot hit the post and Parra would get one off as well, which forced a save. Parra added another look in the 26th, but again his shot would get denied.

In the 36th minute Phillip Kostenko (Zelenokumsk, Russia) scored his fourth goal of the season coming on a header finish off a pass by Spencer Palmer (San Diego, CA). Kostenko's header hit the inside of the far post before rolling in for the 2-0 lead that would hold until the half.

Ten minutes into the second half Dulle completed his brace with his fourth goal of the season in the 56th. The play started from a free kick, which was taken by Kovach.  He served a ball into the box from 30 yards out, which deflected off a defender's head before finding Menti's chest.  Menti then turned and played the ball back into the middle-top of the six-yard box where Dulle was waiting before slotting the insurance goal.

Redlands outshot Chapman 14-9, which included a 7-3 advantage in the second half and eight coming on goal.  Both teams added four corner kicks and Lawrence would register four saves, playing 78 minutes.
