SCIAC Men's Soccer Weekly Release No. 6

REDLANDS, Calif. - The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Men's Soccer Athletes of the Week in the sixth week of voting and University of Redlands Graduate Student Defender Peyton Menti (Seattle, WA) was selected as the Defensive Athlete of the Week for the first time in his career. 

Peyton helped anchor the backline for the University of Redlands Men's Soccer team who went 2-0 last week, which included a shutout win over the University of La Verne (2-0) and a 2-1 battle with UC Santa Cruz.  Menti helped a defensive unit shutout the Leopards limiting them to just three shots for the game, all coming in the first half.  Then against the Banana Slugs UR gave up just 11 shots, but only four made it on frame.  

Redlands returns to the field this Wednesday, October 12 for a big conference showdown on the road against Chapman University beginning at 4:00pm.
