Senior Forward Kayvon Parsa Slated as Third-Team All-American by United Soccer Coaches

On the heels of an excellent season and a memorable career, senior forward Kayvon Parsa (West Hills, CA) emerged as one of the best in NCAA Division III by landing on the 2018 United Soccer Coaches All-America Third Team.  He becomes the second Bulldog men's soccer student-athlete to garner All-America recognition in two years, following in the footsteps of midfielder Casey ChubbFertal '18. In addition, Parsa is the sole representative of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) among the elite list.

Parsa capped off his four-year career at the University of Redlands with 33 goals and nine assists for 75 points.  Overall, he produced 11 game-winning goals as well.  Although he began his final season outside of the Bulldogs' top-10 list, he fired off 12 goals in 2018 to finish seventh all-time in career goals.

After being named the 2015 SCIAC Newcomer of the Year, Parsa corralled four All-SCIAC awards, including three First-Team selections, to go along with an All-West Region First-Team nod to cap off a solid career.  Beyond contributing to three regular-season conference championships in four years, he helped Redlands win a pair of SCIAC Postseason Tournament titles, which led to a second-round NCAA appearance and an exciting trip to the NCAA Elite 8.

During his first season with the Bulldogs, Parsa offered seven goals and three assists, as highlighted by a second-half equalizer to push overtime against Whitworth University (WA) in the first round of the NCAA tournament. As a sophomore starter in 24 games, Parsa served as an essential piece to the puzzle by scoring eight goals and delivering three assists.  He notched the opening goal in a gutsy 3-2 win over top-ranked University of Chicago that sent the Bulldogs to the NCAA Quarterfinals.  As a junior, Parsa helped his squad to an undefeated SCIAC record while supplying six goals and one assist on the season.  Parsa's previous success and experience propelled him to an outstanding final campaign as Redlands' top offensive weapon. He registered a career-high 12 goals, including three game-winners in a row, and added two assists for a quality finish to his Bulldog tenure.
