Senior Forward Kayvon Parsa Garners Third SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week Honor This Season

The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced the weekly awards for October 15-21 and for the third time this season, senior forward Kayvon Parsa (West Hills, CA) was selected as the Men's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week.

Parsa continued to lead the Bulldogs offensively with one goal in each of the two SCIAC wins last week to keep the Bulldogs in a tie for first place. In the first 3-1 victory over the Caltech Beavers, he notched his sixth game-winner of the season, which leads the conference. On the road at the University of La Verne, Parsa once again came up with a crucial goal in a comeback victory.  He scored the equalizer in the 59th minute en route to the Maroon and Gray's 2-1 victory over the Leopards for Redlands' third overtime road-win of the season.

In a strong senior season, Parsa currently leads his team with 11 goals and 23 points, which is lands him second in the conference standings for each category.

Redlands (12-3-0, 10-2-0), which has already clinched a spot in the SCIAC Postseason Tournament, closes out the regular season with two games this week, starting with a road-test against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges on Wednesday, October 24, at 7 p.m.
