Redlands Men's Soccer Rises to No. 13 in United Soccer Coaches' National Poll

It was announced earlier today that the University of Redlands men's soccer team remains on an upward trajectory through the United Soccer Coaches' National Poll for NCAA Division III, with this week's top-25 list placing the Bulldogs at No. 13.  This is a three-spot jump from their previous ranking.

In addition to being 13th in the nation, Redlands holds steady at the No. 2 position for the West Region, sitting behind only Trinity University (TX).

With nine players with at least one goal this season, the Bulldogs rely on a multi-faceted offense.  Among the Maroon and Gray's goal-scorers, senior midfielder Casey ChubbFertal (Eugene, OR) paces the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) with 18 points on the season and co-leads the league with eight goals. Three of his scores have served as game-winners, including most recently in the Bulldogs' 3-0 victory against the Stags of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges.

Senior forward Chase Boone (Beaverton, OR) leads the squad with five assists, as highlighted by two in the team's 3-0 win over Whittier College on September 23.  He joins junior forward Kayvon Parsa (West Hills, CA) and sophomore forward Antony Chonga (San Diego, CA) as players with 10 or more points.

Redlands owns an overall record of 10-3-1 with four regular-season games remaining.  The Bulldogs welcome the Whittier College Poets to Farquhar Field on Wednesday, October 18, for a 7 p.m. showdown.
