VENTURA, Calif. – The University of Redlands Men's Golf team currently sits in third place after two rounds at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships at Olivas Links Golf Club. The Bulldogs are two strokes over par following a second round 288. They sit three strokes back of No. 26 California Lutheran University (CLU) for second and nine strokes behind the leader, and No. 6, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS).

The Bulldogs' second round was two shots better than their first, but was only the fourth lowest round as No. 40 Pomona-Pitzer (P-P) shot a tournament-low 279 as they now only sit one stroke behind Redlands. The rest of the field sit ten or more strokes behind the Maroon and Grey.

In the overall standings, including SCIAC No. 1, SCIAC No. 2, and the first two rounds of the SCIAC Championships, the Bulldogs are in third and now trail first place Claremont-M-S by 38 strokes, are 18 strokes behind second place Pomona-Pitzer, and nine strokes ahead of fourth place and No. 31 University of La Verne.

Individually Joshua Fambro (Taos, N.M.) and Aaron Buck (Tualatin, OR) each moved up two spots into a tie for seventh following their second 71's as they shot a 142 through two rounds. Both golfers are two under par and one shot out of fourth, two shots from third, and four behind the two co-leaders.

The rest of the Bulldogs sit in a tie for 13th with Zane Mularski (Spokane, WA) firing off his second 73 of the tournament (146), Jake Yim (Lake Oswego, OR) is tied for 25th with a 151 (75-76), and Spencer Leader (Oakland, CA) is in 28th after a much improved 73 after struggling to a 79 on Sunday.
