U of R Men's Golf Rises to No. 18 on NCAA Division III National Rankings

Redlands men's golf is now ranked No. 18 in the nation.

It was announced earlier today that the University of Redlands men's golf team rose four spots on the NCAA Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll to No. 18.

Since the mid-February rankings, the Bulldogs have averaged less than 300 per round, with a team-best 285 coming in the opening 18 holes of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament No. 1.  This included the lowest round of sophomore Diego Cortes' (Santiago, Chile) young Bulldog career, as he fired off a 66.

In addition, juniors Cade Lawson (Lake Oswego, OR) and Alex Stroes (San Marcos, CA) have been steady competitors for the Maroon and Gray.  Lawson has recorded two 69s in the last three tournaments, while Stroes signed his scorecard with a 67 during The Master's University Spring Invitational.

The Bulldogs look forward to competing in the West Cup on Monday, March 26, and Tuesday, March 27, at the Sierra La Verne Golf Course in La Verne.
