Bulldog Men's Golf Completes Regular Season with National Ranking of 24th

It was announced on Friday that the University of Redlands men's golf team reentered the Division III Bushnell Golfweek Coaches' Poll at No. 24 in the final regular-season ranking. 

The Bulldogs make their return to the nation's top-25 list after finishing second at the 2017 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championship Tournament in late April.  

The Maroon and Gray currently owns an overall season average of 76.33.

Sophomore Alex Stroes (San Marcos, CA) led the Bulldogs with his season average of 25.29 over 24 rounds of competition.  He twice posted a season-low score of 70, including in the final round of the SCIAC Championship Tournament.  He was recently named to the All-SCIAC First Team.

Sophomore Rowan Foxley (Arlington, WA) closely follows Stroes with his average score of 76.39, which also includes a season-low round of 70 that came during the Bulldogs' medalist showing at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Spring Invite in mid-March. 

While posting the team's lowest round of 69 on two occasions this year, junior George Galanis (Glencoe, IL) provided key results throughout the 2016-17 campaign.

In the previous coaches' poll, the Bulldogs were the top "receiving votes" team with 19.  Redlands was last ranked at No. 22 in the September 30 poll.

According to GolfStat, the Maroon and Gray sits 25th with an adjusted scoring average of 75.56.
