The University of Redlands men's golf team impressed at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Spring Invite in Prescott, AZ, on Monday and Tuesday by taking home the team trophy with a 36-hole total of 567 (283-284). The Maroon and Gray topped the likes of Arizona Christian University, Biola University, and various other NAIA competitors.

The Bulldogs provided consistent and strong results each round, with sophomore Cade Lawson (Lake Oswego, OR) and sophomore Alex Stroes (San Marcos, CA) each notching a two-day score of 142 to tie for sixth in the individual standings.  Lawson fired off rounds of 72 and 70, while Stroes posted the same totals but on opposite days.

After putting together a field-best 69 in the opening round, junior George Galanis (Glencoe, IL) signed his 36-hole scorecard with a 143 (69-74) to finish tied for ninth.

Freshman Cameron Cooper (Seattle, WA) and sophomore Rowan Foxley (Arlington, WA) also finished among the top 20 in the overall standings.  Cooper tallied a 144 (72-72) to tie for 12th, while Foxley recorded a 145 (75-70) by shaving off five strokes during the second 18 holes to land in a tie for 17th.

In addition, freshman Nick Michas (Golden, CO) competed as an individual but showed impressive improvement over the course of the tournament.  He opened with a 78 but completed the event with a 70.
