Bulldog Men's Golf Receives GCAA All-Academic Team Status

It was announced yesterday that the University of Redlands men's golf program earned Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Team All-Academic honors. The Bulldogs put together an impressive season on the links and performed admirably in the classroom.

To be eligible for the GCAA All-Academic Team honor, a college or university must submit the grades earned and hours attempted for each player on its official roster list for the academic year.

In all a total of 103 teams from the NCAa Division I, II, and III, on top of NAIA and NJCAA programs, were recognized for their efforts. Redlands received the GCAA's accolade by posting an overall GPA of 3.0 or better.

On the course, the Maroon and Gray put together an impressive season, finishing 10th overall at the NCAA Championships in Greensboro, NC. Leading the squad, senior Alex Hedlund (Arlington, WA) and freshman Jeremy Sanders (Chatsworth) collected All-America plaudits.
