2022-23 Men's Basketball All-SCIAC Teams
LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced the 2022-23 Men's Basketball All-SCIAC teams with junior guard Khyree Armstead (Mountlake Terrace, Wash.) earning 2nd Team honors.
This is Armstead's first All-SCIAC recognition in his first season as a Bulldog. He averaged 11.9 PPG, 6.2 RPG, 3.5 APG, and 2.8 SPG. His assists ranked fourth in SCIAC and his steals ranked first in the conference and 10th in the nation.
Armstead had a season-high 23 points in a win over George Fox University (Nov. 26); other season-highs included 11 rebounds in a home win versus Whittier College (Feb. 8), seven assists against George Fox University, eight steals versus Lake Forest, the most of any SCIAC player this season, and he had three blocks in a road win at the University of La Verne (Dec. 31).
Armstead is a junior so he will have an opportunity to improve upon his numbers and try to help the Bulldogs make the NCAA Division III National Championships next season.
