Chozen Amadi selected as SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week

SCIAC Men's Basketball Weekly Release No. 8

REDLANDS, Calif. - The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Men's Basketball Athletes of the Week in the eighth week of voting and University of Redlands sophomore Chozen Amadi (Dallas, TX) was selected as the SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week for the second time this season. 

Amadi played a pivotal role in the University of Redlands Men's Basketball teams win against undefeated conference foe Pomona-Pitzer, firing off 23 shots en route to scoring a team-high 28 points against the Preseason D3hoops.com No. 12 team in the nation. He also scored six in just 13 minutes of a victory over Caltech to go with four total assists, six rebounds and two steals on the week.

The Bulldogs finished the week 2-0 with wins over Caltech (101-57) and Pomona-Pitzer (89-74), have won four in a row and improve to 10-3, 4-0 SCIAC one of the best starts in program history.    

Redlands returns to the court Wednesday night, January 11 when they travel to Orange County to take on Chapman University beginning at 7:00pm.
