REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands Men's Basketball team looks to make it two in a row this Saturday, January 29 when they welcome in Pomona-Pitzer.  This match-up is the first time this season these two programs have met.

Uni. of Redlands Coming into the Game

The Bulldogs have faced adversity over their last six games due to COVID-19 Health and Safety protocols and injuries but came together for one of their best games of the season Wednesday night in a 78-61 win over Occidental College.  The Maroon and Grey are 8-6, 4-3 SCIAC, currently sit No. 4 in the SCIAC standings and have won three of their last five against Cal Lutheran (83-76), La Verne (75-70), and Occidental (78-61).     

Pomona-Pitzer Coming into the Game

The Sagehens are one of the hottest teams in SCIAC sitting No. 2 in the SCIAC standings with an 11-3, 6-1 SCIAC record.  They have won six in a row dating back to December 9, 2021 with wins coming against Bethesda University (90-68), Occidental (78-66), Caltech (81-74), Cal Lutheran (87-72), Whittier (79-76), and La Verne (88-45).  Their only loss coming to Claremont-M-S (57-53).      

Head-to-Head (Past Five Years)

Over the past five years the Bulldogs have only collected three wins over the Sagehens.  They currently sit with a 3-9 head to head record.  Since 2017 UR is 1-7 with the lone victory coming on February 8, 2020 (94-77).
