SCIAC Football Weekly Release No. 2

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Football Athletes of the Week in the second week of voting and University of Redlands junior wide receiver and returner Evan Aguon (San Diego, CA) was selected as the Specialist of the Week. 

Aguon amassed 216 all-purpose yards as a wide receiver and returner taking back both kick returns and punts against Pomona-Pitzer. He averaged 12.7 yards per punt return, cleared 42 yards on kickoffs and hauled in 11 receptions for 136 yards along with all three of the Bulldogs' touchdowns, including a 53-yard bomb late in the second half to tie the game at 7-7.

Redlands gears up for a trip to the Pacific Northwest this Saturday, September 17 when they face off against Linfield University.  In 2021 the Bulldogs fell to the Wildcats in both matchups, which included the first round of the NCAA Division III National Championships.
