Bulldog Athletics Welcomes Mike Stauffer as Assistant Football Coach - Tight Ends

Head Coach Mike Maynard and Bulldog Athletics recently welcomed Mike Stauffer to the University of Redlands as an assistant football coach.  Stauffer will work primarily with the tight ends in addition to recruiting responsibilities.

"I am very excited to join the Redlands Bulldog Football program and be a part of such a great staff of coaches and a team full of exceptional young men," commented Stauffer. "I want to thank Coach Maynard for this amazing opportunity to do what I love, coaching football and developing young men.  I'm looking forward to serving this great institution and the community of Redlands."

Stauffer previously acted as the Athletic Performance and Assistant Football Coach at Riverside Polytechnic High School from 2016-18. Prior to working at Riverside Poly, Stauffer amassed seven years of coaching experience as the Defensive Coordinator at Patriot High School in Riverside.

"Coach Stauffer is a tremendous addition to the Bulldog Football coaching staff.  He is a veteran coach who knows how to teach players to compete at a high level," Maynard stated. "Further, Coach Stauffer helps us surround our young men with good people, which creates a successful environment."

Beyond football, Stauffer holds a National Council of Strength Fitness Certification and offers private strength and performance sessions as a coach and personal trainer.

Stauffer spent a year at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln studying Exercise Science before transferring and graduating from the University of Nebraska at Kearney with a degree in Business Administration, Management, and Operations.

Stauffer currently resides in nearby Riverside with his wife Sandi. He enjoys spending his free time working out and boogie-boarding at the beach with his children Chelsey, Zach, and Matthew.
