Bulldog Quarterback Dan Selway Gains D3 Senior Classic Preseason All-America Honors

It was announced on Monday that senior quarterback Dan Selway (Villa Park, CA) of the University of Redlands football team landed on the 2010 D3 Senior Classic Preseason All-America Second Team for the South Offense.

Following two medical hardship seasons, Selway enters his final year of eligibility at Redlands.

During the 2009 campaign, he served as the starting quarterback for the Bulldogs and played an instrumental role in the team's 7-2 performance. In nine games, he made 208 completions on 332 attempts for 2,550 passing yards and 27 touchdowns. He also ran for the third-most yards on the team with 169 and drove in two touchdowns. Revealing his versatility, Selway made six punts during the season and averaged 41.0 yards per punt.

Against Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) opponents, he ranked first with 135 completions on 214 attempts for a 159.06 efficiency rating.

After the season, Selway was named to the All-SCIAC First Team for Offense.

Held at the home of the NCAA Division III National Football Championship in Salem, Virginia, the D3 Senior Classic game features an all-star cast as selected by the D3 Senior Classic committee.

Ninety-two players will participate in the 2010 game, competing in a North versus South format. In last year's inaugural competition, the North won by a score of 14-0.
