U of R Baseball Collects Three Votes in Division III National Polls

Collegiate Baseball Division III National Polls

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Division III National Polls for Baseball according to the Collegiate Baseball American Baseball Coaches Association were announced Wednesday with the University of Redlands receiving three votes.

The Bulldogs this season are currently 12-9, 3-6 SCIAC and have won six of their last eight games, which includes an 8-7 win over No. 20 Chapman University.  This season the Maroon and Grey are hitting .324 as a team with 19 homeruns, 196 runs scored, a .421 OBP, and a .485 SLG percentage.  Within the conference UR sits No. 2 in Hits (253), Stolen Bases (43) and Triples (11), No. 3 in Batting Average (.324), Runs Scored (196), OBP (.421), SLG% (.485) and RBI's (177), No. 4 in Homeruns (19), and No. 5 in Doubles (47).     

Four Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) teams were selected within the Top 30, including No. 10 University of La Verne, No. 20 Chapman, No. 29 Cal Lutheran, and No. 30 Pomona-Pitzer.

Redlands returns to the diamond this weekend, April 1-2 for a three-game series with Claremont-M-S.  They travel to Claremont-M-S on Friday at 3:00pm before hosting the Stags on Saturday for a doubleheader with game times slated for 11:00am and 2:30pm.
