D3baseball.com Team of the Week

REDLANDS, Calif. – D3baseball.com announced their Team of the Week Wednesday for the second time this season for games played between February 14-20 and University of Redlands senior Matthew Brumbaugh (Chula Vista, CA) was recognized as the top catcher in Division III.

Brumbaugh had a big two game stretch for the Bulldogs as they went 2-0 with wins over La Sierra (22-8) and St. Katherine (18-7). He finished 5-for-6 across the two games, batting .833 with an OBP of .900 while slugging 1.333. He totaled three doubles, five RBI's and four runs scored. He also walked three times. 

The Team of the Week is D3baseball.com's weekly honor roll, in its tenth season of recognizing the top performers at each of nine positions from the previous week. Players are selected from nominations from their school's sports information directors. This is the second Team of the Week of the 2022 season.

Redlands returns to the diamond this weekend, February 25-26 for a three game series with Pomona-Pitzer as they open Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) play.  They host the Sagehens on Friday at 2:30pm before traveling for a doubleheader on Saturday (11am/2:30pm).
