Senior Shortstop Aaron Singh Garners SCIAC Hitter of the Week for Bulldog Baseball

The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced its weekly award winners and senior shortstop Aaron Singh (Anaheim, CA) has been named the Hitter of the Week. He performed well at the plate to aid the University of Redlands to a pair of offensive-savvy wins over the weekend.

For the week, Singh hit .500 with two home runs, four RBI, and four runs scored. He also posted a 1.833 slugging percentage while earning a solid on-base percentage of .571.

During Friday's 17-2 victory over Ithaca College (NY), Singh led off the first inning with a home run to ignite a six-run inning for Redlands. Later in the game, he homered over the right-field fence for three RBI. Two days later, he helped the Maroon and Gray put up another 17 runs in a dominant 17-1 win against Bowdoin College (ME). This time, he led off with a deep triple to right center to give the Bulldogs an early lead.

On the season, Singh sits second in the SCIAC with 25 hits and leads the conference in runs with 23.
