The University of Redlands baseball team continues its upward trend among the national polls, as reflected in this week's national rankings.  The Bulldogs climbed one spot on the American Baseball Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division III Baseball Poll to No. 10 while making a two-step move on the D3baseball.com Top 25 to 16th.

Outside of the team's rankings, the Bulldogs land among the best in the nation for various statistical categories.  Redlands sits second with 98 doubles on the season, with junior shortstop Aaron Singh (Anaheim, CA) leading all of Division III with 18 thus far.  The Maroon and Gray boasts the most sacrifice flies with 36, thanks in part to five apiece from senior centerfielder Kyle Kabeary (Indio, CA), junior first baseman Brendan Moore (Murrieta, CA), and Singh.

Furthermore, Redlands sits among the top 10 in double plays (ninth with 35), shutouts (fifth with six), and stolen bases (seventh with 97).

Individually, senior third baseman Brendan Gardiner (Mission Viejo, CA) sits seventh with 48 runs scored, while senior second baseman Will Hall (Seattle, WA) ranks ninth with 25 stolen bases and Singh owns the ninth-most triples at five.

Redlands owns a 28-9 overall record, which is just two wins shy of tying the program record for a single season.  The Maroon and Gray enjoyed a bye weekend on April 20-21 due to Commencement activities on campus. 

The Bulldogs head to Pomona-Pitzer Colleges on Friday, April 27, for a 3 p.m. Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) showdown against the Sagehens before returning home on Saturday, April 28, to take them on in an 11 a.m. doubleheader on Senior Day.
