Junior Pitcher Felix Minjarez Represents Redlands on the ABCA All-America Team

Out of nearly 400 student-athletes among the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-Region Teams, only 50 were selected to the All-America squad.  It was announced earlier today that University of Redlands junior pitcher Felix Minjarez (Riverside, CA) was named to the Third Team to cap off his stellar third season with the Maroon and Gray.

Just yesterday, Minjarez earned All-American recognition from D3baseball.com and now becomes the first Bulldog to receive both honors since pitcher Derek Johnson in 2011.

Beyond Minjarez, the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) is represented by Pomona-Pitzer Colleges' Tanner Nishioka and Chapman University's Tyler Cook.

Minjarez put together an impressive 12-2 showing as the Bulldogs' No. 1 starter, which propelled the team to a 27-16 overall record in Head Coach Aaron Holley's fourth year at the helm.  Minjarez sits among the nation's best in three categories, as highlighted by his tied-for-first effort in wins.  He has amassed 227 strikeouts in his career so far, with 105 of them coming during the 2017 campaign.
