Redlands held an early lead and battled through a pair of tough late innings to pick up the victory as freshman right fielder Connor Hancock (Burbank, CA) laid out for a sweet snag for the final out.

On the mound, freshman reliever Josh Makler (Portland, OR) picked up his first collegiate win, coming out of the pen and tossing a scoreless 1.2 innings. Senior Adam Byrd (Bullhead City, AZ) wrapped up the ball game in his first relief appearance of the year, earning his inaugural save of 2012.
Redlands (11-10) takes on Whittier College in a three-game Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) series, beginning at home on Friday, March 23, at 3 p.m.
