It was announced earlier this week that junior pitching ace Nolan Nicholson (Fullerton, CA) and junior left fielder Kyle Rizzo (Redlands, CA) received American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-West Region accolades. Earning their inaugural All-Region awards, Nicholson landed on the Second Team while Rizzo was named to the Third Team.

Nicholson provided solid play from the mound during his first full year as a starter. In addition to ranking second in Division III for wins with a 12-2 record, he garnered a solid 3.93 ERA in 87.0 innings pitched with 56 strikeouts.

Rizzo experienced another impressive season with the Bulldogs by leading the team in runs scored with 40 and walks with 11. He also ranked second among the starters in five offensive categories, including batting average (.411), home runs (three), RBI (34), slugging percentage (.643), and on-base percentage (.490). In addition, he ranked 39th in Division III for triples with five while stealing 14 bases on 18 attempts.
