Redlands Golf Sweeps SCIAC Athlete of the Week Awards

Sophomore Hannah Jugar (Chula Vista, CA) and sophomore Joshua Fambro (Taos, NM) were named Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) women's and men's golfers of the week after their medalist honors at the recent 2021 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships.

Jugar helped the No. 1 Redlands women's team to first place with a team score of 924 (311-313-300). Jugar led the individual field, earning top honors as she collected a three-round score of 227 (75-78-74). She registered the only eagle of the competition, which came on the first hole of Tuesday's round. Overall, she led the field in par-five scoring with a minus-two average of 4.83 while finishing second with 33 pars.

Fambro led the tied-for-22nd Maroon and Gray men's team to a second-place finish with a 54-hole total of 912 (301-304-307). He led the tournament wire-to-wire and reigned supreme with a 224 (73-74-77) score to finish eight-over-par. His 74 was the lowest score amongst all competitors on day two. Throughout the tournament, Fambro fired off 36 pars.
