Bulldog Basketball Hosts Family Fun Day on January 20

The University of Redlands invites the community to the seventh annual "Family Fun Day" at Bulldog basketball during the teams' Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) doubleheader against Occidental College on Saturday, January 20, at 2 and 4 p.m. in Currier Gym.  Any adult accompanied by a child age 18 and under will receive free admission to both games. All children are automatically admitted free of charge.

In addition, halftime of both games will feature an informal shoot-around for kids ages 12 and younger, with smaller hoops available for the youngest children.  Bulldog prizes will be distributed as well.

Prior to tip-off, fans are also encouraged to attend Addie's Coronation, which will honor our newest Bulldog mascot.  There will be food trucks and exclusive giveaways during the fun-filled and informal celebration that will take place in the parking lot outside of Currier Gym.

"This event provides entertainment for the whole family," commented Assistant Director of Athletics Rachel Roche.  "It's a fantastic opportunity to meet Addie, cheer on the Bulldogs, and enjoy college basketball in a family-friendly setting."

"Family Fun Day" replaced the NCAA's Take a Kid to the Game® program, which was suspended in 2011-12.
