
It was formally announced on Friday that the University of Redlands received 189 All-Academic nods from the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) for all student-athletes who met the minimum GPA requirement of 3.4 during the 2015-16 academic year. All 21 Bulldog squads were represented among the 189 roster spots, which also included 20 dual-sport athletes who don the Maroon and Gray.
Overall, the Bulldog student-athletes boast a GPA of 3.24 during the spring semester, with 19 of 21 programs owning a 3.00 or better. The women's tennis team led the charge with a team GPA of 3.57, while volleyball, women's lacrosse, softball, and women's track & field closely followed at 3.4 or higher.
The cross country team paces the men's sports with a team GPA of 3.27 during the spring.
