This hometown standout left his mark on the Redlands baseball program during his successful four-year career as a catcher. During the 2006 season, he led the U of R to its first Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) championship in 15 years. During the historic campaign, he registered a .336 batting average while starting in 38 games. Garcia tied for the team-lead with 48 hits, blasting two homeruns and registering 27 RBI in the process.

Garcia completed his degrees in Liberal Studies and Race & Ethnic Studies in May 2007. After graduation, he worked with PYRO Spectaculars, Inc. as a facility manager, helping to set up and run firework productions all across the country.

In addition, he gained coaching experience as a head coach in the German Professional Baseball League for one season.

During his free time, Garcia enjoys hiking, surfing, camping, and photography. He appreciates the opportunity to improve his coaching skills while working with the Bulldog baseball team.

Currently, he resides in Redlands.
