U of R Cross Country shows their depth at SCIAC Championships

CLAREMONT, Calif. – The University of Redlands Men's and Women's Cross Country teams finished strong over the weekend during the 2021 Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Cross Country Championships.  The women posted a 4th Place (112 Points) finish and the men 5th (133 Points).  

On the men's side graduate student Tucker Cargile (Denver, CO) finished fifth overall with a time of 24:46.9 in the men's 8K. He had an average mile pace of 4:59. For the women, Isabella Glenn (Seattle, WA) led the way again for the Maroon and Grey with an eighth-place finish posting a time of 22:21.0 and a pace of 6:00 a mile in the 6K.

Men's Finishers:

The men finished 10 points out of fourth place (La Verne) and 14 points out of third place (Occidental College).

Women's Finishers:

The Bulldogs fell unlucky trailing Caltech (3rd) by a mere five points. Their 1:57:30.5 combined time from their top five was 16.7 seconds faster than Caltech's, but it was not enough to claim a top-three spot.

For those that qualified, the NCAA Division III West Regionals await them on Saturday, November 13 in Claremont, CA.
