Second-Half Adjustments Not enough for Bulldog Women’s Water Polo against Chapman

The University of Redlands women's water polo team returned to Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) action on Wednesday afternoon as it faced off against the Chapman University Panthers in Orange. The Bulldogs struggled to gather any offensive rhythm against the prolific Panthers, falling by a score of 3-12.

After a scoreless first half, the Bulldogs managed to find the net three times after making some second-half adjustments.  Junior utility player Taylor Christie (Anaheim, CA) notched the lone Maroon and Gray goal in the third quarter, while senior utility player Deandra Van Houten (Huntington Beach, CA) fired home two fourth-quarter scores.

The Bulldogs (2-21, 0-2 SCIAC) face off against Caltech in their next SCIAC showdown on Saturday, March 28, in Pasadena. Game time is set for 11 a.m.
