The University of Redlands women's volleyball team joins more than 150 NCAA Division III women's programs across the nation to earn the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2016-17 year. The Bulldogs qualified for this scholarly honor by collectively exceeding the minimum GPA of 3.30.
The Bulldogs garner this achievement for the third-consecutive season, with the most recent two coming under the direction of Head Coach Lisa Lindberg. Redlands is one of 832 high school and college volleyball program to be recognized by the AVCA for this distinction. Three other members of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) also landed on the elite list.

Redlands volleyball looks forward to returning to campus on August 18, with the season's first official competition taking place on September 1 at the Pacific Coast Classic. The Bulldogs face the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts at 11:15 a.m. at the University of La Verne.
