The University of Redlands volleyball team capped off a busy week of Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) action by traveling to Chapman University to take on the Panthers.  Unfortunately, a tight loss in the opening set established the one for the home squad and led to a three-set sweep of the Bulldogs, 27-29, 17-25, 21-25.

Freshman outside hitter Kaylee Burdick (Sun Valley, CA) continues to impress in her rookie season by leading the Maroon and Gray with nine kills.  Senior middle blocker Ashton Martin (Redlands, CA) and sophomore outside hitter Kailee McCoy (Chandler, AZ) supplied seven kills each, while Martin added three block assists.  Junior setter Ellie McLeod (Redlands, CA) dished out 27 assists, as sophomore libero Abby Hickman (Phoenix, AZ) offered seven digs.

The Bulldogs (3-6, 0-3 SCIAC) enjoy a short break from competition before hosting Caltech and Providence Christian College in a tri-match on Saturday, September 26.  The busy afternoon begins at 1 p.m. when Redlands squares off against the Beavers in conference competition.
