The University of Redlands volleyball team posted its second sweep of Caltech in as many days with tonight's 25-8, 25-16, 25-12 showing in Pasadena.  With 14 players making contributions in the triumph, the Bulldogs fired off 37 kills with only two errors en route to a .515 hitting performance for the team's best output of the 2013 season.

After the teams traded points to start the match, the Bulldogs looked to junior libero Courtney Johnson (Dana Point, CA) to unleash 10 straight points from the service line, including a pair of aces.  From here, Redlands continued to roll, relying on its prolific attack and solid defense for the straight-set win.

Overall, sophomore outside hitter Haili Hannah (San Diego, CA) and freshman right-side hitter Cassy Lematta (West Linn, OR) led the offensive charge with seven kills apiece.  Hannah uncorked a phenomenal clip of .538, while Lematta provided a.429 effort for the Bulldogs.

Senior outside hitter Morgan Buckner (San Rafael, CA) also shined for the Maroon and Gray, putting away four of her five attacks during the opening set.

Senior setter Alisha Cornick (Hollister, CA) distributed the ball well, providing 14 assists.  In addition, freshman setter Ellie McLeod (Redlands, CA) and sophomore Lauren Ellingwood (Kirkland, WA) combined for 14 additional assists.

Besides her stellar serving that resulted in three aces on the night, Johnson led the Bulldogs' defense with 14 digs.  Freshman defensive specialist Jazzy Kealoha (Honolulu, HI) added 10 digs, while Hannah put away three aces.
