The University of Redlands women's soccer squad ventured on the road in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges on Saturday night. Despite having 11 chances at the net, the Bulldogs came up short in the second meeting against the Athenas, 0-2.

The Bulldogs earned three opportunities to score in the opening 45 minutes of the contest. Senior midfielder Cassie Lively (Redmond, WA) returned to action by blasting off two shots in a matter of seven minutes. Senior forward Jen Franklin (Seattle, WA) backed her with a shot in the 27th minute, but with no luck.

The Bulldogs stirred the offensive pot in the second frame by seeing eight chances at the net. Senior midfielder Savannah Laursen (Boise, ID) and junior forward Kate Frame (Fox Island, WA) combined for four shots in 10 minutes of action. Senior midfielder Summer Norquist (Boise, ID) and sophomore defender Erin Schlosser (Sammamish, WA) joined the firing brigade, but failed to find the back of the net en route to a 0-2 defeat.

Despite hauling in four saves, senior goalkeeper Lexi Felix (Kailua, HI) was tagged with the loss after a full 90 minutes of action in goal.

Laursen led the way with three shots, while Frame and Lively backed her with two.
