NORTHBOROUGH, MA – The University of Redlands Women's Lacrosse team was recognized Wednesday by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) as an Academic Honor Squad posting a cumulative GPA of a 3.53.

The Bulldogs have now earned this distinction for the fifth time joining fellow Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) schools Claremont-M-S, California Lutheran University, Chapman University, Occidental College, Pomona-Pitzer, and Whittier College, on this elite list.     

The IWLCA has named 398 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2021-22 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.

In addition, five players also earned individual accolades being named to the IWLCA Honor Roll.  These Bulldogs included seniors Charlie Baum (Liberal Studies/Women, Gender, and Sexuality), Erika Lopez (Communicative Science and Disorders), Alison Waddles (Liberal Studies/Spanish), and Maeve Wiencek (Studio Art/Graphic Design and Photography) along with junior Nina Davis (Psychology).      

The IWLCA honored 1,104 student-athletes from 194 different institutions on the 2022 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
