It was announced on Friday that four University of Redlands women's lacrosse student-athletes received All-West Region honors from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA).  Junior goalkeeper Quinn Egan (Greenwood Village, CO) and sophomore midfielder Hanna Morford (West Linn, OR) landed on the First Team, while junior midfielder Lacey Bjorndal (Sherwood, OR) and senior attack player Dulce Moll (Mercer Island, WA) represented the Bulldogs on the Second Team.

Egan earns her inaugural All-Region award after patrolling the Bulldogs' cage in nearly every minute of competition and making a school-record 180 saves as the team's last line of defense.  She hauled in a team-high 56 ground balls and forced 18 opponent turnovers in a stellar defensive effort. Egan reset the Maroon and Gray's single-game record for saves with 22 against Centre College (KY) on March 1.

After orchestrating an outstanding sophomore campaign, Morford also collects her first-ever, All-Region honor.  In 17 games played, she tallied a team-high 52 goals to go along with 16 assists for 68 points.  She put the exclamation point on her offensive prowess by resetting the school record with 35-consecutive games with at least one goal, dating back to February 20, 2016.  Finally, Morford used her tenacity and speed to corral 39 ground balls and 49 draw controls.  Her stifling defense caused 27 opponent turnovers as well. 

With a Second-Team nod, Bjorndal lands on the All-Region team for the first time in her three-year career.  During the 2017 season, she provided 31 goals and three assists for 34 points over the course of 17 games played.  Thirteen of those goals came on free-position shots, which led the team in this category.  In the team's 11-5 win over Berry College (GA), she fired off five goals to lead the charge.  Overall, she hauled in 31 ground balls and a team-best 54 draw controls. 

Finally, Moll repeats as an IWLCA All-Region honoree for the third time in her four-year tenure with the Bulldogs.  This season, she notched 25 goals and 20 assists for 45 points.  This talented playmaker broke the Bulldog record for career assists with 84, as highlighted by her five-assist showing in the team's 12-4 victory over Centre.  Overall, she also registered 19 ground balls, three draw controls, and eight caused turnovers during her final season.

These four Bulldogs are now eligible for possible IWLCA All-America consideration.
