It was announced earlier today that sophomore midfielder Hanna Morford (West Linn, OR) of the University of Redlands was named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Women's Lacrosse Athlete of the Week for her contributions during the week of April 17. 

In the Bulldogs' only game of the week, Morford carried Redlands to a 15-11 win over Occidental College on Senior Night.  She fired off seven goals on 10 shots and dished out two assists in an impressive effort.  Her assists came on the Maroon and Gray's first two goals of the game, while her goals were sprinkled throughout the hard-fought contest and included the eventual game-winner.  This outstanding performance lands Morford tied-for-third among Redlands' single-season record for goals.

On the season, Morford currently leads the team with 46 goals and 61 points.

Redlands (9-6, 4-5 SCIAC) heads to Pomona-Pitzer on Tuesday, April 25, for a 7 p.m. showdown against the Sagehens in their final regular-season contest.
