Competing as a first-year member of the SCIAC, Chapman (14-5, 7-4 SCIAC) became a finalist by stunning No. 2 Occidental College in an exciting comeback victory in last week's semifinal game.  Trailing by a score of 9-10 with 16:15 left in the second stanza, the Panther defense smothered the Tigers and held them scoreless for the remainder of the game, while the Chapman offense rattled off four straight goals.

Highlighted by her contributions on three of the team's final four scores, Abbey Messmer led the charge with four netters and two assists during that exciting game.
