Redlands Women's Golf Garners No. 6 Ranking on WGCA Poll to Begin 2021 Season

The University of Redlands women's golf team tees off the 2021 campaign with a national ranking of No. 6, as indicated by the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Poll on Friday.

Under sixth-year Head Coach Jack Stewart, the Bulldogs strive to build upon last season's success, which included being the No. 8 team in the final WGCA rankings. During the pandemic-shortened season, Redlands fired off impressive wins that resulted in a new school record with a two-round total of 587, as well as the program's third-lowest total of 590.

Redlands returns senior Annie Hay (University Place, WA) and sophomore Hannah Jugar (Chula Vista, CA) as members of the WGCA All-West Region Team in 2020. Jugar also landed on the WGCA All-America First Team to finish out an impressive rookie season.

Redlands is one of three Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) schools on the national poll, with Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges sitting at No. 9 and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges following at No. 15.
